Solar Power System 20W (SOL-12-20-7)

Solar power system for automatic gate openers. Solar power is a great alternative to mains power when mains power is not easily accessible. Ideal for farm lands. During the day time with the sun light solar panel produces electric current. This electric current then use to charge the batteries through a controller. Power supply to gate opener is controlled through the controller as well. If the battery voltage down to 10V or so, system completely cut-off power feed to the gate opener.

These solar power systems are generally maintenance free. However, periodic inspection and check-ups keep the whole system healthy. Batteries need replacing once their life time is reached.

We also carry Mounting posts. These posts are made of aluminium and powder coated black. This has facility to mount the solar panel at the top, battery box and gate opener control box (if any) at the side of the post.

 Battery Maintenance Tips:

Recharge before use
Recharge every 3 month when not in use
Do not store flat
Do not discharge below 11V
Length of service life will be directly affected by the number of discharge cycles, depth of discharge, ambient temperature and charging voltage
